A Long Weekend Break in Wales

Wales has so much to offer and it is known as a (motor)bikers’ paradise for a reason.

The roads are interesting and mostly well maintained. There is a variety of roads to choose from. From high passes to roads hugging the coastline with stunning views of the sea and cutting through the countryside for a different vista. All this in a short space of time which offers a great variety to the ride.

A four-day trip will typically see us start in North Wales, where we will meet in the morning for a coffee and introductions. On the first day, we will explore the well-maintained roads, the views of the wonderful Snowdonia National Park and of course, Wales’ highest mountain Snowdon. We will stop in some of the most famous bikers’ meet-up places of Betws Y Coed and Bala.

Day two will take us through Mid Wales where we will visit Elan Valley and its impressive reservoirs. We will stop at Devil’s Bridge and ride the mountain road to Aberystwyth to breathe a lung full of seaside air. An ice cream stop is obligatory regardles of the season or the weather. Following the coastal road heading south, we will turn inland again and stop for the night.

Day three starts in Mid Wales heading south via some amazing B roads with stunning views as we head to the Brecon Beacons National Park where we explore some of the Valley villages and mountain passes.

The last day is heading back to the original meeting point and you are free to depart at your schedule, depending on where you are traveling to.

A 4 day/3 nights tour of Wales on your motorcycle is the perfect way to experience some of the fantastic roads, amazing views and enjoy a different pace of life for a few days. The tour starts on a Thursday morning and ends on a Sunday.
