Wintertime in Europe forces us to park our motorcycles for a good few months and wait for the spring to arrive, the grit to wash off the roads and feel the warmth of the sun on our faces again.
Or not! Jump on a long haul flight to Sydney where the spring is in full bloom, the sky is blue, the sun is shining and the roads are free from traffic. Join me on a 10-day round tour to discover the joy of riding in Australia commencing on 9th December 2024.
Get a flight to arrive a few days before the tour starts to give you a chance to get over the jet lag, sort out the bike hire and meet with the rest of the group. We’ll set off heading south on the Grand Pacific Drive then turn inland to enjoy the Snowy Mountains Highway, the Kosciuszko National Park roads, the Great Alpine Road and many others on our way to Melbourne. There may be some gravel roads, too depending on the ability of the group. We may stop at Phillip Island before heading back north, hugging the coastal road with some detours for more adventurous rides.
Ending our journey in Sydney on 19th December will leave you enough time to fly home for Christmas unless you decide to spend it on a beach.
The price will include accommodation and some meals. You will have to organise your flights. We will organise the bike hire but you will have to pay and do the paperwork with the hire company directly – we do not take a commission on this.
The group will be kept small, with no more than 6 riders to ensure the ultimate experience.
