It’s another bank holiday in the UK. That’s good and bad. It’s good because, well doh, an extra day off! But not so good when you have your own business and staff to pay…
This weekend I am looking after a Great Dane called Barney. He’s stayed with me before and I am really happy to have him and lucky to be trusted by his owner to look after him.
If I didn’t have Barney in the house I would probably have left the house in the morning and not come back until Monday evening 😂 Maybe a slight exaggeration but maybe not. My son flew to Australia last Monday so I don’t even have to be home to cook for him.
So given my dog sitting duties today’s ride wasn’t going to be a long one but it was fun nonetheless. My gorgeous friend Kerry was free too and we were joined by her other half, Rich as he just passed his full licence about a month ago.
My Italian Stallion All lined up An arty shot Beautiful Welsh hills Sorry bug families
We headed to Bala to meet up with a couple of my friends that are there camping this weekend and that meant a ride short enough for me to get home for Barney but long enough to make it worth it.
We’ve stayed off the main roads as the traffic is quite busy and there were reports of roads closed before we even set off. The route we chose was mostly empty with fantastic roads, beautiful corners and stunning scenery.
And a bonus – free lunch for me. Thanks Rich, you can come again! 😂
