Wales has so much to offer and it is known as a (motor)bikers’ paradise for a reason. The roads are interesting and well maintained. There is a variety of roads to choose from high passes to hugging the coastline with stunning views of the sea to cutting through the countryside for a different vista again.
A three-day trip will see us start in North Wales, where we will meet and enjoy an evening meal together at our accommodation near Llangollen to get to know the group and exchange motorcycling stories. In the morning, after breakfast, we will take in the views of the wonderful Snowdonia National Park and of course, over Llanberis Pass at the foot of Wales’ highest mountain Snowdon before heading for Mid Wales and the second night’s accommodation.
Day two will take us to Elan Valley and its impressive reservoirs over the mountain road to Aberystwyth to breathe a lung full of seaside air. Following the coastal road heading south, we will stop for the night in one of the beautiful villages on the way.
Day three and we arrive in south Wales and head for the Brecon Beacons National Park taking in some valley roads across the Black Mountain and experience some more wonderful scenery and amazing roads. Our last night will be near Abergavenny to allow for a morning meeting at one of the bikers’ cafes before we set off on the way home. You are free to leave at your pace or we can ride together back towards Llangollen through central Wales and Builth Wells and make this a 4-day guided trip for no extra cost.
Sadly due to the current pandemic, it is impossible to guarantee the dates and prices although I am hopeful all accommodation providers will carry on trading in 2021 and we can stay at the preferred locations.
